The Oude Kerk has been a home for artists and musicians for centuries. Today, too, we are asking artists and musicians to create new work for the Oude Kerk.
Currently on show is the monumental art installation, Garden of Scars by Ibrahim Mahama. He has become an internationally respected artist in recent years. He created a series of new works especially for the Oude Kerk. During the tour, find out more about the background of his work and the creative process.
Series C: Unique interplay between art and heritage.
In the Oude Kerk, past, present and future go hand in hand. Both up-and-coming talent and established artists create new work at the invitation of the Oude Kerk. Through their eyes, we constantly look at this place and the world around us in new ways. Discover the unique interplay between art and heritage in Amsterdam's oldest building.
Costs: 90 euro's per tour, excluding entry fee. Maximum of 15 persons per guided tour.
The ensure access to the museum as a group, you can make a reservation for groups up to 15 people. This enables us to have control on busy days and offer fast access to the museum. After reservation of a date and time you can easily pay online and an e-ticket for the group will be sent by email.
You can choose for a group visit or a group visit with a tour guide of the museum. The guides can give a tour in Dutch, English, German, French and Spanish. The additional costs are 100 euro incl VAT per tour guide for a group of a maximum of 15 people.
The museum is open daily from 11 am & 5 pm.
The entrance fee is 12,00 euro per person.
